How to write effective scientific paper?

The existence of different techniques and methodologies of writing scientific papers, especially in the young researchers, it can often cause some confusion and fear and lead to wasteful of time and waste of creativity. For this reason, we decided to dedicate a part of the brochure just this topic.

What are the basic categories of works?

The papers are usually divided into two main categories, these are the scientific and professional papers. Although it is often difficult to draw the line between scientific and technical papers, or parts of them, there are certainly some differences.

Scientific work is defined as the description of original research results that must be written, published and available to the scientific community. In addition, to the work he received the title of scientific work, he must start from odrđenog problems and based on facts which they can reach the survey. Scientific papers are usually in a systematic way, one of the following categories: original scientific work, preliminary announcements and review.

The original scientific paper (Original Scientific Paper, Eng.) Is an original scientific work in which they presented new results of fundamental and applied research generated by applying scientific methods. The original scientific article provides a hitherto unknown scientific facts and findings that represent a contribution to science. Applied scientific methods are described to study could be repeated, and check the facts.

Previous release (Preliminary Communication, Eng.) Is also an original scientific work, but small-scale or of a preliminary character. This category of scientific work, too, sadržijednu or more scientific information, but without enough detanja that would enable the reader to verify the presented scientific findings, research results and scientific information.

Review (Review, Eng.) Differs from the original scientific work in that it does not contain the original (new) research results. Review contains a complete review of a particular research problem in a way that the new way to collect, analyze, and summarize the scientific way of presenting the already published scientific information and knowledge. In other words, the review provides a new synthesis of scientific information generated from the review of the latest on a particular subject area.

In order to work can classify and characterize scientific it is necessary that the work has at least two positive reviews.

Professional paper contains new, original scientific findings, results and theories, but it deals with already known and described. Author of professional work is the main task is to gather and interpret scientific knowledge is already known, facts, information, and theories that can be used in practice. That is, offers a professional work experience that are helpful for improving professional practice, but which are not necessarily based on scientific method.
Scientific and professional papers, and the results of scientific research (except commercial, eksploatabilnih and research that could be considered important to national security) are regularly published in scientific and professional publications, and often the journals or conference proceedings from scientific (technical) Conference .

HOW TO WRITE ABSTRACT (SUMMARY) work?

Abstracts should be relatively short. Most journals or organizer of international conferences accurately define its length njačešće it limited to 250 words or less.

Abstracts should summarize the most important elements of work. These are: the purpose for which the research was done, the methods used, the main results that have been reached, and the conclusions arising from the results obtained.

A good summary should be a unit that is understandable to the reader without access to the entire work.

Increasingly, and in our international scientific conference organized by the enegleskom language, as is the practice worldwide. Even when this is not the case, it is common to the title, abstract and keywords, in addition to the language of the conference organizers, and write in English.
